Position General Summary:

Under direction of the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Technician performs functions specific to supporting the recruiting and staffing needs within FLVS.  The Talent Acquisition Technician performs general recruiting responsibilities in regard to advertising positions, reviewing and clearing candidates and completing candidate post-offer/pre-employment activities.  The Talent Acquisition Technician builds internal and external relationships to aid in superior customer service and to support in growing FLVS’ reputation as a premier employer within the job-seeker community. 

 

Essential Position Functions:

  • Follows defined workflow to accurately post and advertise open positions.

  • Reviews candidate applications to ensure completion.

  • Follows process to clear candidates based on certification requirements, work performance and background notations.

  • Coordinates interviews for assigned positions.

  • Coordinates any candidate assessment activities and access.

  • Responsible for updating candidate data after interviews.  

  • Completes employment verifications.

  • Escalates concerns or issues with service, documentation, process, or systems to appropriate parties.

  • Engages in activities to increase FLVS employment brand awareness in the community and develop a pipeline of viable candidates, including visibility in community, career-related events, and professional associations.

  • Works proactively with Human Resources Team to address internal/external customer needs and escalates staffing issues and concerns, as needed.

  • Responsible for tracking, measuring and achieving defined department metrics specific to recruiting and department customer service.

  • Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Public Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

 

Experience:

  • Two (2) years’ human resources experience, preferably in recruiting or staffing

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of human resource administration related to the area of recruitment

  • Knowledgeable of current applicable federal, state, school district laws, codes and regulations related to the area of recruitment

  • Skill in effective verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to efficiently coordinate multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines
