The Analyst FP&A will be responsible for financial analysis and management reporting, planning and forecasting and ad hoc analysis for General & Administration departments. Reporting and analysis will provide management with timely, accurate and relevant financial information and insights. Additional responsibilities include supporting activities under management of Sr. Manager FP&A

Responsibilities:

Support Administration budget managers including:

  • Finance liaison for General & Admin depts. to build annual budgeting and quarterly Latest Estimates
  • Interact with business partners (heads of Legal, IT, HR etc.) to help them budget, forecast and analyze spend variances in their departments and develop associated risks, opportunities, and action plans
  • Prepares and distributes timely and insightful financial reports used to determine progress against strategic plan, budgets, forecasts, and prior year and conduct one on one meetings
  • Responsible for monthly accruals, account reconciliations and variance analysis for Admin depts
    Review contracts and POs to confirm appropriate approval, proper project coding and whether budgeted
  • Complete quarterly analytics and Management's Discussion and Analysis in support of Pacira's Results of Operation
  • System administration and projects including Robotics Process Automation (RPA) application to current processes
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
  • Support activities overseen by Sr. Mgr. FP&A Sales & Marketing including, supporting C-Suite and Board of Directors reporting of monthly and quarterly actuals, and forecast and annual and long-range plan budget processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred
  • 2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial planning/budgeting or related area, pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
