Fleet Technician

State of the Art Airport Shuttle at CONRAC John Glenn International Airport

$1,500 Sign on Bonus (Expires 01/31/22)

Join the First Transit team as Fleet Mechanic and perform the maintenance and repair of transit style buses and support vehicles to company and contract requirements. Fleet includes 3 new electric and 3 propane powered buses. Join us and become a part of the new technology movement with a new "electrified" fleet.

Description

  • Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.
  • Remove and replace engine, transmission and differential assemblies.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 3-5 years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
  • Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
  • Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm
