Who you are:

As a Director, Senior Analyst you will be a key player within an established Capital Markets & Investment Sales Team that is focused on middle market transactions across core asset types (retail, office, multifamily and industrial/flex) within the tri-state area. The Team is consistently one of the top producing investment sales teams within the company, and with a small team of 6 is poised for growth and expansion.

 

This role is best described as a “hybrid” position that lends itself to both a transactional and operational skillset. The ideal candidate must have extensive financial underwriting for CRE Investment Sales (other industry underwriting will not apply). This person will utilize their extensive experience to improve and manage the day-to-day operations for the team, mentor team members (analysts and sales associates roles), work on all facets of transaction management, which includes underwriting through closing of transactions. This position will also work on “placement” of some of the transactions (marketing of deals), and interface with investors and clients.

 

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Financing/Accounting or business/real estate degree

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in the commercial real estate industry required with concentration in financial analysis/underwriting, transaction management, client service with support for business development.

  • Extensive experience with developing financial models, cash flows, IRR, DCF, Cash on Cash analysis, etc. for investment sale properties with an intuitive understanding of investor acquisition return criteria and expectations.

  • Advanced proficiency with Argus Enterprise, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal quantitative, writing and communication skills.

  • Strategic, creative thinker with a track record of success in managing a real estate transaction from underwriting through closing stages.

  • Action oriented and has ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, stressful situations, and work with minimal direction/supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and co-workers at all levels of the organization.

 

 

Bonus skills and experience

  • Experience in Salesforce is helpful

 

 

What success looks like

  • You will organize and implement an efficient process for client management and execution of the different phases of the transaction process from underwriting to closing.

  • You will help to cultivate and manage relationships with all transactional parties including clients, brokers (team and non- team members), attorneys, third party vendors, etc.

  • You will provide leadership and handle day-to-day managerial and operational duties.

  • You will provide financial analysis and analytical decision support services and technical expertise for the growing Investment Sales brokerage team.

  • You will mentor and oversee Sr. Analyst and assist in overflow work as needed in preparation of financial modeling and underwriting for investment sale assignments using different financial concepts such as IRR, DCF, Cash on Cash, etc. using Argus and Excel.

  • You will coordinate with debt/equity team members to underwrite based on debt placement scenarios.

  • You will assist in developing the strategy and content for presentation packages and offering memoranda and oversee team members on their respective roles.

  • You will participate in pitch presentations with prospect and client meetings and lead discussions on financial modeling.
