Energy Engineer:

  • Your successful efforts will reduce Global Warming.
  • You'll have a great deal of interaction with customers as well as other EMCOR staff
  • You'll be representing EMCOR at customer sites
  • To be part of a multi-disciplinary energy infrastructure team working to decarbonize our energy systems to deliver clean, safe, and resilient energy systems that conserve resources and restore habitats
  • Support our clients to deliver on their energy transition ambitions
  • To deliver renewable and transitional energy projects, particularly in decarbonization
  • Conduct energy audits in large commercial and institutional facilities
  • Support the monitoring of the energy usage and performs cost analysis
  • Support the strategic plan for Campus wide-energy and sustainability needs
  • Identify building mechanical, electrical, energy, and decarbonization (generation and storage) opportunities
  • Analyzes heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting systems to determine optimum operating conditions.
  • Reviews plans and designs for building construction and makes recommendations regarding energy conservation and appropriate technology to ensure efficient energy and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to understand and manage client submission platforms such as Facility Grid.
  • Supports the campus utility bill management program.
  • Understand rebate programs and how to apply them
  • Work on a team to develop cashflow and financial return propositions
  • Provide detailed energy savings calculations for the development of ESPC projects
  • Perform energy calculations using spreadsheets and energy modeling software to determine energy savings associated with plumbing/lighting equipment and systems
  • Write scopes of work for plumbing/lighting subcontractors
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits and take meeting minutes

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline related to the area of assignment.
  • LEED Certified and or Certified Energy Manager, PE is preferred.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
