Job Description

We are seeking a Data Expert for our Data Strategy & Management department based in Bohemia, NY (Long Island). In this position, you will act as a link between our business stakeholder and IT colleagues and support our initiatives and projects to ensure a high level of data quality.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • You will work cross-functional on all aspects of master data and act as a contact person for your American colleagues with a focus on customer & vendor master data
  • Support our internal stakeholder and user within the daily handling of the Master Data (Customer, Vendor and Material) and ensuring that template processes are executed based on data architecture and governance principles
  • Close communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure that business requirements and needs are identified and aligned with the global data governance
  • Continuous improvement of our Processes, Systems and Governance within your daily business task and projects
  • Supporting and leading data driven initiatives and projects
  • Working hands on in the SAP Master Data Governance tool where you will create, review and approve Change Requests for Customer, Vendor and Material
  • Drive Cleansing Activities to improve the Data Quality for all Master Data Objects
  • Execute data reports with Quick Viewer and SE16N
  • First contact for requests regarding master data maintenance & guidelines within the operational business
  • Collaborate with the global data team to establish an ongoing communication and exchange
  • Execute and support training and testing activities
  • Process documentation and coordination of training courses for the respective users and stakeholders

What will convince us

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred
  • 1+ years experience with data and its structures
  • Experience with Sales Force, SAP ERP, SAP MDG and eBusiness platforms
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to travel 10%, both domestically and internationally
