As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Medical Scribe to join our growing team in New Jersey. Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe dictations provided by healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants)
  • Maintain adherence to transcription quality assurance standards (e.g., QA metrics, productivity metrics, daily reviews of post-QA reports)
  • Provide post-QA documents (e.g., difference documents) to transcriptionists and/or QA analysts, as appropriate
  • Demonstrate appropriate grammar, punctuation and style standards when transcribing/ editing provider dictations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology for appropriate medical specialties
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical/surgical procedures and equipment for appropriate medical specialties
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medications/dosages for appropriate medical specialties

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven understanding of medical terminology from education or previous on-the-job training
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience as a medical scribe in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to type 60+ words per minute
  • Experience with Epic EMR
