RCC operates clinical services in affiliation with New York University School of Medicine (NYUSM). Professional, academic, and services relationship with NYUSM is maintained through Jaime Inclan, Ph.D., Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the NYUSM, and Morris Gagliardi MD, Chief Medical Officer at Gouverneur and Clinical Assistant Professor, NYUSM. All medical staff is licensed in their profession and credentialed by the H+H| Gotham Health Medical Board.
Program Statement
Founded in 1982, RCC integrates primary care and mental health in a newly renovated community- based program providing integrated services to residents in all five boroughs of NY City. Located in the dynamic, progressive, and culturally, racially, and language diverse Lower East Side (LES) of Manhattan, RCC provides specialized family oriented-bilingual services in medicine, psychiatry, psychology & social work.
Clinical programs include: O.P. Mental Health Treatment Program; Primary Health Care Program; Continuing Day Treatment Program. Training Programs include: Psychology Internship and Externship Programs; Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Counseling Field work training program; and hosts international psychiatry observers. RCC training programs aim to develop skills in the Ecosystemic Holistic therapy model of integrated health care.

Job Description

NYUSM at RCC | Gotham Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatrists to play a prominent, active role in Program training and services. Programs serve an ethnically diverse, bilingual (Spanish) immigrant, middle-class, and working-class population at, primarily, moderate risk levels.
Patients present with the full range of DSM diagnoses, and are often subject to compounding stressors and co-morbid medical conditions. Psychiatrists will be expected to participate in all phases of the outpatient process: patient assessments; developing and updating treatment plans; consulting and supervising psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families, and groups; and attending case-disposition and other staff meetings.

a) The opportunity to participate in RCC's Family Therapy Training Program: didactic seminars; and live consultations and supervision.

Full-Time Position; 40 hours;
Center Hours:
* Monday - Thursday (9am-8pm)
* Friday (9am-3pm)
* Option to telecommute for 1 or 2 days and/or 4-day/week schedule

  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical or osteopathy school.
  • Completion of ACGME accredited Psychiatry residency program.
  • Board Certified or Eligible by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • New York State License and DEA certificate
  • Fluency in Spanish
