Job Overview:

The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist performs quality diagnostic and therapeutic NM procedures on all patient populations of the hospital.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Well versed in the principles of radiation safety so that radioisotopes are prepared and administered in a safe manner
  • Proficient in using PACS and teleradiology
  • Possess good communication skills to effectively interact with physician, patients and coworkers

Preferred:

  • Expertise and at least one-year experience in Nuclear Medicine

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Current NJDEP license in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • AART in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Board Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Assisting and transporting patients
  • Performing data entry for exam tracking and dose management
  • Managing supplies
  • Other departmental duties as assigned
