Description

Assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing ISCO Quality requirements; validating processes; providing documentation; supplied product verification; finished product testing; employee training.

  • A Quality Inspector is expected to work with ISCO management and staff to maintain a high level of performance, by implementing and validating company Quality processes and procedures. Such Quality related activities may include but are not limited to:
    • Ensuring product specifications and quality attributes are achieved;
    • Inspecting received and manufactured product to ensure compliance with applicable requirements (i.e. order, standards, etc.) and documenting inspections;
    • Determining operational and performance qualification;
    • Understanding and uses ISCO Quality management system documentation;
    • Maintains and improves product quality by completing assigned audits, and investigating customer complaints (i.e. NCRs, PRAs, RGAs, etc.)
    • Performing training for internal personnel as required, and managing internal facility training/competency records
    • Performing required activities in order to maintain ISCO Quality certifications (i.e. ISO 9001, FM, etc.)
    • Maintain records of QA activities that are accurate, legible, readily identifiable, and easily retrievable/organized
    • Recommend, champion and execute program enhancements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned (product testing, etc.)
  • Performs testing on products requested internally or by customers
  • Assists in managing M&TE calibration records / status
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Trade qualification or the equivalent knowledge, education and experience
  • Proficient knowledge and business use of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel
  • Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Write report and business correspondence
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Practical problem solving
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Frequently standing and walking
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock and vibration
  • Moderate or loud noise level
