Posting Summary | The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, NJ, has an opening for the position of Teaching Instructor, starting Spring 2019. This is a non-tenure track annual renewable appointment with a workload of six courses per year (3 per semester), and carries the possibility for a renewable contract lasting up to 3 years. Applicants must have a Ph.D., experience teaching large classes and be prepared to teach courses such as perceptual psychology, cognitive psychology, and physiological psychology. Additionally, applicants must be able to occasionally teach other courses that are key parts of the curriculum (e.g., quantitative methods, developmental psychology, learning processes and general psychology). Strong teaching evaluations are a must and experience with innovative instructional techniques is desired. Please provide a CV, strong teaching evaluations or other evidence of teaching excellence, and a statement of teaching philosophy. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2018. Applicants selected for an interview will be asked to provide three letters of reference. |
