Posting Summary

Positions are currently available to measure epigenetic changes that occur in intestinal development and disease, during response to dietary changes (Vitamin D), and during the oncogenic progression of colorectal cancer. The projects will employ mouse models, organoid cultures, metabolomics and epigenomic (ChIP-seq) methodologies. Postdocs are encouraged to take any developed projects with them as their careers progress.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

PhD, proven ability to publish research projects

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

PhD, proven ability to publish research projects
Knowledge of how to conduct biomedical research in a laboratory setting
Work with metabolomics, epigenomics, organoid cultures, mouse models, is preferred but not required

Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must lift and move up to 30 pounds Must operate and maintain sophisticated equipment.

Overview
Statement

The position requires the employee to have excellent analytical and communication skills. Tasks can be quite technical and extremely complex but scope of influence will be limited as position will perform tasks that are assigned by close supervision and follow well defined protocols. Ability to practice the Scientific Method with regards to evaluating experimental outcomes and deciding upon future research directions, in consultation with your lab head.
