Senior Engineering Scheduler
Position Summary:
The Senior Scheduler will prepare and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule for new or existing programs, status program schedules, identify problem areas, investigate off-schedule tasks,and establish and document corrective action
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support development and maintenance of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Perform critical path and schedule risk analyses as required
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and apply schedule risk reserve as required
  • Supports the integration of program plans and schedules across company functions.
  • Develop and maintain Program Summary Master Schedule as part of monthly management rhythms.
  • Perform schedule integrity checks as required
  • Generate and deliver IMS reports and metrics as required
  • Analyze and resolve issues between scheduling system and execution system (Microsoft Project and JIRA).
  • Assists in EVM Analyses. Analyze and evaluate cost performance reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations
  • Advise members of IPTs on cost, schedule, and performance trends
  • Assess the use of management reserve on contract with an earned value requirement
  • Coordinate and participate in integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
  • Reports any significant EVM issues to Program Manager and recommend appropriate actions to resolve the issue
Basic Qualifications Required:
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
  • 5 years of experience using Microsoft Project
  • 5 years of experience with Aerospace and/or Defense products or programs
  • 5 years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, JIRA, etc.
  • Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, manufacturing operations, or related technical field
  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Position entails exposure to typical manufacturing (i.e. Machine Shop, Assembly, Testing, etc.) environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
  • Business office environment requiring use of telephone and personal computer.
  • Work under pressure and overtime when required, in order to meet deadlines.
This position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.
