At Nixon Peabody, our priority is to attract, retain, and promote talented individuals from a wide range of racial, ethnic, social, economic, religious, and personal backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations. Therefore, we encourage talented individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.

Our Healthcare Practice Group is seeking to hire an experienced attorney to join our Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity to join Nixon Peabody's national health care practice, which has received numerous national and regional rankings, including by Chambers USA, Legal 500, and U.S. News/Best Law Firms.

With 80+ attorneys practicing health care law on the ground in 13 offices and managing health care issues for clients across the country, Nixon Peabody is at the heart of the health care industry. The firm's health care practice works with more than 2,400 clients nationwide including hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, accountable care organizations, private equity funds, long-term care facilities, IPAs and medical groups, and other types of providers.

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position is as follows.

  • Los Angeles, CA: $295,000 to $315,000

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody's good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.

A career at Nixon Peabody is the opportunity to do work that matters. It's a chance to use your knowledge to shape what's ahead, to innovate, to learn at a firm that taps into the power of collaboration and collective thinking.

The ideal candidate will have at least six years of California health care regulatory and compliance experience working on fraud and abuse issues and compliance matters in the context of reimbursement disputes, investigations, and business transactions, such as joint ventures and private equity investments. Experience with managed care and/or life sciences transactions is required. Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, superb judgment and communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client services.
