Technical Writer- Junior

REMOTE


Dayton T. Brown, Inc. (DTB) has been synonymous with the pursuit of excellence and customer service for over 70 years. Our Technical Services Division provides technical documentation, communication, and logistics/maintenance planning services for some of the biggest names in the industry.


We have a perfect opportunity for a Full-Time, Junior Technical Writer to join our amazing team. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, with a strong desire to grow within our Technical Services Division.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Under direct supervision, you will assist in organizing, editing, and authoring of various military and commercial aviation technical manuals
  • Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, fault isolations, schematics, and block diagrams
  • Provide illustration teams with redline mark-ups
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all work produced
  • Be able to travel as required
  • Perform additional duties to support project team as needed

Qualifications/Skills:


  • An AA degree or equivalent military, commercial, aviation experience
  • Strong computer skillset
  • Clear and concise written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • An understanding to write and edit technical documents for example: tech procedures, user manuals, service manuals
  • Dependable, organized and have a positive attitude
  • Disciplined to work remotely, with the ability to multitask
  • The flexibility to work Overtime
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced in environment
  • A & P Certificate a PLUS
  • A US Citizenship Required
