X-Ray Tech, Part Time, Montvale

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs x-ray functions, documents accurately in EMR system according to licensure and regulatory guidelines in a courteous, caring and respectful manner. Maintains appropriate logs and licensing according to state and Board Examiners. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment. Maintains a close working relationship with staff to ensure proper workflow. Supports and assists other practice activities as necessary.

EDUCATION:

Completion of formal radiologic technology coursework in a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association. Must have passed an examination within six (6) months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or eligible for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. New graduates will be considered.



EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a clinic, medical office or off-site medical environment preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Current and valid license from the State of New Jersey X-Ray Technician Board of Examiners. ARRT Certification preferred. BCLS certification required. Ability to use critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior and customer service skills required. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations. Strong communication both oral and written and presentation skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to persons of varied age groups, customers and/or groups. Ability to create, maintain and support a high functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team. Demonstrates behavior that is courteous, caring, respectful and compassionate at all times. Demonstrates ability to listen and respond in a non-judgmental manner, with clear expectations. Position may require rotating to other VMG locations from time to time when necessary.
