As a Market Data Senior Technologist, you will play a crucial role in managing, analyzing, developing, and optimizing market data solutions which drive key business decisions at Capital Group. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accessibility of Capital Group's third-party data sources while working closely with cross-functional teams and the business to enhance our research and trading capabilities that utilize market data. You have the innate ability to develop and build strong business partnerships using consultative approaches to understand, anticipate, and address business stakeholders needs - ensuring successful delivery of positive business outcomes. From cutting edge modern technologies/patterns and cloud solutions to foundational technology and vendor products and services, you are able to address challenges at their core. You will be a subject matter expert on a diverse and dynamic team of technologists/engineers that analyze, manage, develop, and integrate market data solutions leveraging cutting-edge technology and data insights to provide our clients with accurate, timely, and actionable market information, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive success.

New York Base Salary Range: $123,999-$198,398
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

- You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- You have overseen the acquisition, storage, and organization of market data from various sources, ensuring data quality and reliability
- You have utilized data analytics tools and leverage your knowledge of modern programming languages, such as Python and R, to extract meaningful insights from market data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities
- You are comfortable with infrastructure and networking concepts in both on-perm and cloud environments
- You have collaborated with IT and development teams to integrate market data into systems and applications using cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure, for real-time decision support
- You have hands-on experience working with: Python, REST API services, SQL, and AWS
- You have at least 4 years of experience in leading large scale transformative initiatives with direct contributions to successful delivery
- You have provided key contributions to planning, prioritizing, defining, and delivering against technology roadmaps
- You have strong business acumen in capital markets, financial services, and asset management
- You are able to lead, define, and establish engineering best practices, including cultivating innovative, efficient, and scalable technology solutions
- You have technology vendor management experience and contributed to technology direction, guidance, oversight of vendor solutions and integrations, and stay current on industry best practices
- You are a continuous learner who seeks out stretch opportunities to build new technical skills and expand business acumen
- You are comfortable documenting complex technical information for collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams
- You cultivate an inclusive, collaborative work environment, including mentorship and guidance to junior associates.
