The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) offers three Master of Arts (MA) programs, two Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs, and two Master of Professional Studies (MPS) programs. FIT's graduate programs focus on developing critical thinking, effective communication skills, creative business strategies, and technical expertise.


Job Description:

The School of Graduate Studies is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions. Successful candidates will teach in one or more of the following departments:

  • Art Market Studies (MA)
  • Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing and Management (MPS)

  • Exhibition and Experience Design (MA)

  • Fashion & Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice (MA)

  • Fashion Design (MFA)

  • Global Fashion Management (MPS)

  • Illustration (MFA)

Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades in a timely manner. Course descriptions are available in the and .


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have earned a terminal graduate degree in their respective area of expertise. Ideally candidates have significant graduate level instructional experience and an extensive background in their field.


Additional Information:

This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position. As positions become available, a review of applications will commence immediately and continue until each position is filled. The department will keep this posting open to create a pool of candidates for potential future adjunct assignments. The department will contact applicants whose qualifications fit our programmatic needs now or for the future.

The dictates the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment. The hourly rate and appointment rank will be based on education level and cumulative experience.

Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be considered at or above the adjunct instructor level at $77.43/HR.
