The Adult Clinic at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem is designed to promote wellness and prevent disease and disability. Our physicians are nationally recognized experts in their fields. Special programs/support groups for those with chronic illness are held to provide additional help for diabetes, cancer, amputee education & Alzheimer's/Dementia. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center.

The service at Harlem Hospital is an academic practice sponsored by the Columbia University Medical Center
outpatient care, clinical supervision of fellows, residents and medical students
• Practice has 15 - 20 patients daily - time with patient/quality patient care is promoted
• Weekly team meeting to encourage collaboration and new ideas
• The practice is a research site for diabetes & fully staffed with support staff such as social workers, clinical pharmacists & dietician
