Job Description

The Director of Direct Feeds is a senior role within the Low Latency Group which is part of the Enterprise Data Solutions (EDS) division of LSEG. This role reports to the Low Latency Group Head and will sit on the Low Latency Leadership Team. The direct feed business includes both ultra-low latency software feed handlers and a low-latency data offering that can be deployed on client premises or accessed via a managed service.

This individual will own and execute the global, low latency direct feeds strategy to achieve significant year-over-year growth. Additionally, this role will complete the migration of clients from our legacy direct feed to RTD. The Global Head of Direct Feeds will engage the market and peers within LSEG to transform our direct feeds business into a hypergrowth pillar of our overall LSEG strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and articulate the positioning and trajectory of the Direct Feed business.

  • Lead all aspects of the commercial and operational side of the Direct Feed business including working with finance, technology, sales and marketing.

  • Be the liaison with SAM (Sales & Account Management) on all sales and retention campaigns including acting as the main business representative.

  • Global Leadership - Be the visible leader for Direct Feeds across APAC, EMEA and AMERS. Promote awareness and understanding of the value of Direct Feeds globally, addressing regional market needs.

  • People Leadership - Lead a team of project and product managers internationally working with indirect reports and other divisions to achieve Direct Feed goals. Support talent attraction and retention globally including professional development of team.

  • Coordinate extensively with key LSEG executives and their leadership teams to ensure that the Direct Feeds market is positioned to grow significantly in terms of market share and venue coverage.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the real-time market data feeds industry with specific expertise in low-latency feeds.

  • Proven track record of building businesses with a growth trajectory.

  • Experienced people leader, ideally with experience managing line managers.

  • Strong influencing skills - able to network effectively across the business in a variety of cultures.

  • Effective change agent with the ability to gain organisational buy-in and effectively accelerate and implement transformation plans.

  • Strong relationship management skills and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, as well as report writing and presentation skills to suit all audiences.

  • Deep technical understanding of the market data landscape.

  • Strategic thinker with a strong ability to overcome obstacles, remove roadblocks and execute.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $175,600 - $326,000.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
