We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java ION Developer to join a dynamic team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy professional with a deep understanding of ION platforms and Java technologies, along with a passion for agile development and innovation in financial technologies. This is a hybrid working environment, 2-3 days on-site.

Key Qualifications:

- Proficiency in ION core platform and ION MMI.

- Expertise in Java, J2EE, and Spring frameworks.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Rates and Credit bonds, derivatives, and their market dynamics.

- Familiarity with key trading venues like Bloomberg and Tradeweb, and their operational intricacies.

- Strong skills in Unix and SQL.

- Proven experience in Agile team environments.

- Strong track record in developing Java-based enterprise applications.

- Advanced Object-Oriented Programming skills.

- Familiarity with build and integration tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.

- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, including RESTful and SOAP web services.

- Successful implementation of Agile Scrum and SAFE Agile methodologies.

- Experience with cloud services platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure.

- Proficiency in Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, MQ, and similar technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Effectively gather and interpret business requirements from stakeholders, translating them into actionable IT specifications.

- Oversee and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder demonstration sessions.

- Provide technical leadership within the development team.

- Deliver on challenging business objectives while adhering to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), with a clear understanding of the commercial impact of success or failure.

- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
