Job Description

  • The Talent Management Team is responsible for overall talent practices including but not limited to succession, leadership development, assessment and selection, performance management, coaching and mentoring, and executive recruiting. Our Team serves the enterprise for all Otsuka employees, people leaders, and executive leaders across functions and pay levels.

  • The intern will have a diverse portfolio of projects to gain breadth and understanding of talent management. Projects will be determined based on intern desire, interest, and business needs. The intern will have both ownership of specific projects with core deliverables as well as exposure and collaboration on other projects. These experiences will enable the intern to craft strategy, design, roadmaps, execution, and delivery as well as learn and collaborate across talent management and potential broader HR initiatives to create an integrated and robust intern experience. Projects and experiences may include the evolution of performance management, talent analysis and metrics, leadership development strategy, content creation and design launches, amongst others. The intern will need to collaborate across the boundaries of the human resources and people & business services function as well as collaborate, partner, and engage with business leaders across functions (R&D, commercial, and enabling functions).

  • The project(s) will be crafted based on critical business need, corporate priorities, and intern interest and alignment to development goals.

Qualifications/ Required

Educational Qualifications

Minimum

  • Current Graduate Student or Undergraduate Student in final year

  • Preferably MBA

  • Human Resource/Talent work experience

  • GPA minimum 2.8

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment

  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Otsuka Corporate Brand including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility

  • Big picture thinking, strategy, communications, strong verbal and written skills, intellectual curiosity, ability to execute, have critical thinking and "connect the dots". Also, extremely strong collaboration and stakeholdering skills.

  • Someone who understands leadership development trends and/or HR industry trends. Complex problem solving and sense of urgency in addition to business acumen.

  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment

  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively to solve complex problems

  • Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
