Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated install and service technician to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to all stages of installation commissioning, programming, and end-user training of access control and CCTV systems. This position involves extensive customer and home office interaction.
- Complete Scope of Work for assigned projects which may include some combination of the following:
- Review and comprehend assigned Scope of Work for each project assigned
- Verification of pre-packed equipment for project
- Installation, programming, training as contracted
- Work as a liaison between the Customer and Project Manager as needed
- Fulfill all job completion tasks as required (submittal of notes and other required paperwork)
- Complete service repairs and maintenance of installed access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems
- Maintain timesheet and daily activity log
- Troubleshoot and provide necessary technical support as needed for both Customer and other technicians
- Communicate closely with Branch Manager to provide status updates, collaborate and resolve issues
- Participate in after-hours on-call coverage rotation
- Handle warranty issues on new installs for 90 days after completion
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, repairs and small additions to existing access control and video systems
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturer certification or equivalent field experience working on UTC systems, DSX, Software House, S2 or AMAG
- Manufacturer certification or equivalent field experience working on VMS systems such as Genetec, Panasonic ASM, Exacq, and other VMS platforms
- Network certifications, degrees, or proven IT work experience
- Two (2) years of Technical School (preferably in Electronics Training or equivalent Military Training)
- Certifications in one of the following areas: Cisco CCNA, A+, Microsoft Professional or Networking; or proven work experience in networking including routers, head ends, switches, and programming
