Reporting to the Head of Procurement IM&S for North America, you will support the indirect material and services sourcing and contracting process for multiple sites (7) across the East Coast to improve costs following Category Strategies and procurement guidelines. You will serve as primary contact to sites for the operational and tactical sourcing of IM&S categories. It collaborate with sites stakeholders, coordinates procurement activities for site

Core Responsibilities

Sourcing

  • Manage site stakeholders in other functions in the evaluation and pricing of alternate materials.
  • Identify and drive local/site cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities following Indirect Material and Services and business targets and our needs.
  • Support main sites TCO reduction initiatives, CI and sustainability initiatives
  • Support the global and regional category management teams in the roll out of strategies within the site. Manage and drive sourcing projects as assigned.
  • Provide sourcing support to local site stakeholders and liaise with GBS.

Vendor Selection

  • Define supplier selection criteria, build scenarios and support the allocation decision-making process.
  • Initiate search for alternative materials or products
  • Investigate and approve requests for vendor creation

Negotiations & Contract Management

  • Solicits and analyses quotes, negotiate prices, delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies
  • Implement global, regional and local agreements and support the financial targets as outlined by IM&S Procurement and the business.
  • Conduct local negotiations with suppliers and ensure contract cover within the portfolio and for spend as defined by the Head of Procurement IM&S for the region and according the

Global Delegation of Authorities/Signatories policy.

  • Review purchase requisitions/orders and other vendor related administrative workflows
  • Manage vendor and contract performances on all agreed parameters and including site feedback
  • Ensure appropriate risk evaluation within the IM&S risk framework and implement mitigation actions while meeting our needs
  • Facilitate sourcing and contracting issue escalation and proposes resolutions

Cost Optimization and Business Planning

  • Prepare initiative plans and forecasts following business budget cycle
  • Develop cost reduction projects
  • Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities and services
  • Coordinate site reviews on all projects and manages together with CI implementation

Report &Process Delivery

  • Support site and GBS teams on sourcing and contracting matters on a daily basis
  • Maintain information in SAP as required
  • Maintain existing and drive the implementation of new catalogues.

You?

  • Bachelor degree preferably in engineering, supply chain, business or other relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain within an international manufacturing environment
  • Digital mindset and high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point
  • Understanding of procurement systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Preferable Knowledge of maintenance, packaging and capex categories
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable to work in a fast pace environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial acumen and Project Management skills
