The Legal Aid Society's Information Technology department has an opening for a User Experience (U/X) Support Technician. The U/X Technician provides key desktop and technology support to the Society under the direction of the U/X Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Replace hardware on computers such as fans, hard drives, ram, etc.
  • Re-image computers using the current SCCM settings
  • Troubleshoot errors from applications and operating systems
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity on computers, printers, phones, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair printers by replacing internal components such as formatters, maintenance kits, rollers, etc.
  • Troubleshoot video conferencing systems for connectivity, sound, and video problems
  • Maintain inventory of MIS computer equipment
  • Able to perform office moves, printer moves/relocation, and assist with new site setups
  • Knowledge of supporting and maintaining iPhone and Android devices
  • Monitor and update internal support ticketing system
  • Train and orient staff on use of the LAS hardware and software
  • Configure Network copiers for scanning and printing
  • Assist our various departments with special projects requiring technical setups
  • Knowledge with support office landline. Spectrum VOIP a plus
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of User Experience

Manhattan - Legal Aid Society Headquarters
  • 3-5 years of experience in PC and desktop/end-user support
  • Knowledge and familiarity with cloud software like O365
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Intune
  • Knowledge of A/V technology such as Creston and Logitech peripherals
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Citrix/VMWare
  • Basic Knowledge working with Meraki switches
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and O365
  • Troubleshooting skills for iOS and Android devices
  • Basic networking knowledge and concepts
  • Experience with asset management systems and procedures, such as asset tagging, labeling, audits, etc.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with videoconferencing, audio/video, phone work, and cabling is a plus

SALARY TRANSPARENCY

The posting reflects the range of potential salaries for the role. The specific salary offers will be dependent on candidate qualifications, including collectively bargained salary steps for unionized roles.

Salary Range/ Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
