OVERVIEW:

This role will provide dedicated Human Resources support to specific business teams. The HRBP will partner closely within the North America People & Culture team, Global Center of Excellence teams at HQ as well as various team throughout the organization. A successful HRBP will be responsible for translating strategic plans into actionable work plans and then execute with excellence. This role reports into the Director, Human Resources, Business Partnering & Talent


This role requires experience in Project Management, Change Management, Communication planning and execution, Organization Design, Employee Advocacy, Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, Employment Law/Legal Compliance, Performance Management, Coaching & Counseling, Organizational & Leadership Development, Talent Management practices and HR systems and processes.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works in partnership with Functional VP to deliver HR programs, strategies and solutions that are in line with the Company business strategies and the Global HR strategies.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers and leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Serves as liaison with local and global mobility teams regarding immigration and expat moves.
  • Assesses and anticipates HR related needs related to headcount, workforce trends, organizational changes, and ensures the effectiveness of these changes.
  • Routinely engages in talent discussions with Functional VP and leaders to implement Talent Management & Talent Development programs.
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders within the Function, cross functionally and at HQ in order to implement HR programs effectively. Supports leaders and teams to build capability and deliver with impact.
  • This role plays an integral part in organizational success & culture through the advocacy of people. Fostering behaviors that are aligned to the values of the Company.
  • Provides guidance and input talent acquisition, talent development, talent retention, talent engagement, training, business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business teams and individual management development needs. Works collaboratively with the Manager, Talent Development in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Acts as a consultant to the business for employee-related issues including legal and compliance
  • Leads an annual key HR process through planning, communication and serving as project lead among North America HR team.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.
  • Interfaces with many roles and support areas including but not limited to: Finance, Legal, HQ COE Human Resources.
  • Works cross-functionally with other HR peers to stay ahead of the curve to ensure Beiersdorf is future ready.
  • Works with passion and from a purpose driven mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Required; MBA or master's degree is desirable. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience including a minimum of 3 years HR Manager/HR Business Partner experience at a management-level (working independently)
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years supporting research & development, product development, innovation teams or similar functions at the manager-level.
  • This role will also have site responsibilities to effectively support the R&D team.
  • Must have demonstrated previous project management experience leading projects with significant change management.
  • Ability to act as a strong leadership partner, must be able to strategically influence senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of United States employment law and standard business integrity principles.
  • Action-oriented to initiate appropriate resources and tools to ensure delivery on project.
