Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Direct Hire

Leading designer and manufacturer of metal hose products is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity!

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager:

  • Leads and mentors an operational area team to success
  • Ensures safety and quality systems are enforced
  • Coordinate tasks and set priorities for department
  • Responsible for all manufacturing metrics in the operational area(s) assigned
  • Works with Management to develop costing to support proposal pricing to meet customer RFQ/RFP timing
  • Works closely with other teams and management to ensure the successful on-time launch of new products into the manufacturing environment
  • Develops and implements new processes, equipment, and tooling as required to support design, development, production, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Works closely with product engineering to optimize new & existing products to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for the manufacturing process, including labor content, cycle time, scrap, and quality
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and optimization through the use of benchmarking, standardization and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Assists in the development of budgets, and long term planning
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
  • BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering) and 8+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Equipment & tooling design and fabrication experience
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • AS9100, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 experience
  • Experience managing an engineering team, developing staffing plans, facilitating process improvement, providing individual performance feedback, team development, solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external)
  • Identify cost savings opportunities, develop plans, and implement productivity & cost saving measures
  • Aility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, drawings, prints, customer/industry specifications, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and team members
  • Experience with machine design, hydraulics, fluid systems, and understanding of machine instrumentation and associated control systems
