Job Description
Sartorius is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer for our BioAnalytics division based remotely in the Bay area, CA. In this role you will be supporting complex cell analysis equipment in our current portfolio while partnering with our customers to build and maintain world class customer satisfaction, customer retention and drive success.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • You will provide exceptional customer care
  • Responsible for installation, repair, and preventative maintenance while maintaining communication, scheduling, inventory, and administrative compliance.
  • Use your knowledge and abilities to tie workflow to scheduleto minimizeunnecessary travel
  • One of your tasks will include performing fieldservice,calibration,and installation of complex mechanical systems, as well as perform preventative maintenanceand field sterilizations
  • Assist with software updates/upgradesand helping to resolve IT issues related to Bio Analytics system installations
  • You will help build positive relationships with customers
  • Utilize your knowledge to provide technical support to customers
  • Your duties will include providing training to customers on the basic use and operation of Bio Analytics instruments
  • Assist in drafting documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols
  • In the event of an issue, prepare customer facing estimates of equipment repairs.
  • In this role, you will keep precise records and produce timely, detailedand detailed service reports; this will include keeping correct count of parts assigned to the engineer
  • You will pass along identified leads to the sales manager
  • Ability to travel to our Ann Arbor, MI, Albuquerque, NM, Fremont, CA and additional facilities and site for training and conferences as needed
  • Expected to lift items that weigh up to 35 Kg
  • You will perform other duties as assigned

What will convince us

  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomechanical engineering, biomedical engineering preferred
  • You have completed an Associate degree in Engineering or High School Diploma/GED and equivalent combination of 5+ years industry experience and/or technical/military training
  • You possess the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with excellent mechanical, electrical, and IT skills
  • You have demonstrated a strong aptitude for hands-on engineering testing and experimentation in a lab/shop environment
  • You possess good working knowledge of ISO requirements and other relevant guidelines and regulations
  • You are proficient with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • You have a valid Drivers License with an excellent driving record

Base salary offered for the position in Colorado/NYC/CA is $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 depending on experience.
