The Options Trading Associate will assist the Options Trading desk with day-to-day operations in support of goals and objectives and will work closely with the Options Trading/Sales team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Options Desk with processing daily trade executions.
  • Performs trade settlement reconciliation daily and notifies management of any discrepancies.
  • Will handle correcting any trade breaks and ensure databases have been updated to reflect the correction.
  • Maintains trade databases and will prepare reports and analyses as requested.
  • Forward billing details to the back office for each trade executed at EOD.
  • E-mail confirmation statements to the clients each morning for the previous day's trades.
  • Reviews all vendor bills for accuracy and works with the Equity Commissions Managment team to ensure timely billing and vendor payments are completed.
  • Will work on various projects as assigned by management.

$70,000 to $90,000 base salary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • General knowledge of FINRA and trading regulations, with preference given to Options and listed Equity Derivatives.
  • Strong understanding, knowledge, and experience within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to ensure necessary and relevant information is passed on to others promptly.
  • Skilled at developing, maintaining, and strengthening internal and external partnerships.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Interest in financial markets.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or equivalent.
  • Minimum required: 2+ years of industry-related experience, preferably in Options Trading.

LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

  • Minimum required: none.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 are preferred.

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Work, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with trading platforms such as Bloomberg and Fidessa.
