Overview

Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, located just 15 minutes from NYC, is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dedicated to providing high quality patient care to a diverse community, Lincoln Medical Center is a NYS designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the U.S, caring for approximatley 160,000 visits annually, including a separate pediatric ED. It has one of the oldest EM residencies in New York.

Responsibilities

The Department of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln is seeking an enthusiastic physician assistant to join the care team.

    Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exam, and to treat patients of all ages who present to the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition
  • To provide comprehensive and quality care to patients .
  • Work collaboratively with nursing as well as other clinical services in the hospital.
  • Complete all assigned administrative task/charts as required by the department as well as the hospital.
  • Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME as well as taking part in regular departmental teaching activities.
  • Must present patients to the supervising physicians in the area of the ED where they are practicing.
  • Will perform all other duties assigned by the chief of service/his/her designee
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification/admissibility issued by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
