LG's 2024 Summer Internship Program will be a 9 week internship from June 3rd through August 2nd, 2024.

The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $28.50.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.

The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end.

Responsibilities

  • Create a profile for new Product Liability ("PL") lawsuits
  • Update the team Excel File with the current status of the PL cases
  • Review invoices of outside law firm to make sure the invoiced amount and items are appropriate
  • Put together research material regarding how CPSC reporting obligation is created, processed, and followed up after the recall announcement. This will improve efficiency of the CPSC reporting work when CPSC reporting obligation occurs in the future.
  • Create a comprehensive manual regarding how to process PL lawsuits under the PL insurance. This will be the Team's reference material for handling the insurance aspect of the PL lawsuits.
  • Work with systems and tools such as QMS, GEVS, NLSS
  • Interest to learn in law, litigation, product safety, or regulatory work

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a JD degree program at an accredited College/University and going into their second or third year
  • Bilingual in English and Korean (Able to read and write fluently)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical and well organized
