The Center for Translational & Computational Neuroimmunology (CTCN), in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the field of neuroimmunology to join our research effort in investigating the influence of aging on the immune system and its repercussions on neurodegenerative processes that impact cognitive aging and other neurodegenerative processes.
This position offers a stimulating and multi-disciplinary environment. The Postdoctoral Research Scientist will work as part of a team of researchers at CUIMC. He or she will join an ongoing research program that examines immune cell phenotype and function as it relates to several neurological diseases including Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease (PD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). The project will entail working with human brain tissue, human immune cells, human cell lines (including iPSC) using in vitro assays, genome editing and validating results mechanistically.
