Overview

Our Non-Financial Risk Management team within Group Audit is part of the larger Chief Risk Office (CRO) global team that is responsible for the developing to the highest industry standards a risk-based audit plan covering

  • Non-Financial Risk includes new product and transaction approvals, reputational risk, and the broader Operational Risk framework

  • Specific components of NFRM including Transaction Processing Risk, Information Security Risk Management, IT Risk Management, Data and Record Retention and Operational Resilience including Business Continuity and Crisis Management

  • Risk Identification and Scenario Analysis as part of the Comprehensive Capital Adequacy Review (CCAR)

You will have a key role in the delivery of the NFRM audit plan and audit projects, supporting the functions in their ongoing framework transformation and implementation across Deutsche Bank (DB). Your role includes execution of audit work in line with Deutsche Bank Group Audit Methodology.

You will report into the Principal Audit Manager (PAM) who reports directly into the Chief Auditor (CA).

What You'll Do

  • Proactively leads or participates in day-to-day audit work, including audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting

  • Track and validate closure of internal audit issues and regulatory observations. Supports ad-hoc projects including regulatory requests and/or other GA initiatives

  • Complete all assigned audit work (e.g. planning, fieldwork, finding validations) in line with agreed budgets and document in accordance with divisional standards

  • Discuss exceptions identified during fieldwork with audit leads and PAM and drafting of high-quality impactful audit findings and provide PAM / audit lead updates on progress, escalates problems/delays, support ad hoc projects

  • Complete business risk assessments and contribute to the annual audit planning process

  • Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues (locally and globally), stakeholders and respective support areas

Skills You'll Need

  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree required; advanced degrees in Risk and relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, etc.) preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of auditing standards and concepts. Extensive experience as an auditor or control's function

  • Understanding of risk management and control frameworks in a global banking control environment. Experience covering non-financial risk topics or Operational Risk Management frameworks, or Enterprise Risk Management topics preferred

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, oral and written English, together with strong presentation and interactive skills

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
