Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Hauppauge, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Under supervision, responsible for procurement of active, passive, or electro-mechanical parts.
  • Resolves problems and advises supervisor on particularly complex, sensitive, or controversial matters.
  • Negotiates and monitors purchase agreements by establishing company policy for quality, price, and delivery requirements.
  • Conducts supplier surveys and analyzes results to determine new potential suppliers.
  • The results of said surveys have an impact on supplier solicitations and future procurements.
  • Uses knowledge to negotiate the best price by needed specifications.
  • Prepare requests for quotations or purchase requisitions.
  • Recommends changes to maintain tracking and reporting system for purchases; monitors agreements and resolves any problems or refers to Manager for resolution.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive and effective relationships with supplier personnel.
  • Interacts clearly and concisely with all departments requiring purchasing support.
  • Complete weekly department metrics related to purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Expedited suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of material.
  • Ensures that all established purchasing policies and company policies are strictly adhered to.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 / year.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of active procurement/buying in an electronics-manufacturing environment experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Have supplier relations and sourcing skills.
  • Be able to work in a team environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange information and interface effectively with employees or customers clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient understanding and utilization of MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, generally accepted purchasing, and contract management practices.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
