We're seeking a future team member for the role of Strategic Accounts Relationship Manager to join our Investment Management North American Distribution team. This role is located in New York City, NY - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • The incumbent will help develop strategic plan(s) for managing and growing assigned client relationships, with a focus on revenue growth and retention through expanding use of BNY Mellon investment capabilities.
  • S/He will serve in a consultative role to their assigned clients, advising on the best way to achieve short and long term strategic objectives
  • S/He will assist more senior relationship manager(s) on the management of larger or more complex client relationships
  • The incumbent needs to be willing and able to work collaboratively and effectively with internal partners including but not limited to our affiliated investment firms, field sales, product management, marketing, business intelligence, compliance and legal.
  • S/He will be expected to contribute to and manage various special projects and activities that aid the greater Strategic Accounts team in achieving and communicating overall business objectives.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • The qualified candidate will possess a BA or BS degree in business, economics or similar advanced degree. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • S/He will have 4-7 years' experience in the investment services industry, preferably with U.S. intermediary clients, exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively follow-up and resolve issues required.
  • Broad knowledge of the U.S. wealth management industry and securities markets preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities, but also comfortable working in a team environment and share assignments.
  • S/He will also possess excellent skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $64,000 and $105,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
