City Cruises is seeking a HVAC Technician for our operation in New York.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The successful HVAC Technician uses their general HVAC training and experience to perform repairs and maintenance that will ensure the safe and consistent operation of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment aboard all vessels and in the office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performing general repair and maintenance work including painting and other miscellaneous tasks.
  • Observing, recording and bringing to management's attention all equipment malfunctions.
  • Assisting in all phases of business unit functions.
  • Conducting complete vessel equipment inspections and informing appropriate staff of unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Perform light electrical repairs.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs.
  • Perform maintenance and inspection of HVAC equipment.
  • Repair and Install HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • General Experience with tools and basic repair required.
  • Complete work in a timely and neat manner.
  • Follow the instruction guidelines before every job.
  • Handling other related functions as necessary.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
  • One (1) year experience in a trade or general HVAC experience.
  • FDNY RSOE-Q99 card holder preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools properly and safely.
  • Technologically competent - able to use computerized systems.
  • Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing is required for all marine personnel.
  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to plan and organize.
  • Capability of multi-taking and problem-solving skills.
  • May be required to apply for a Transportation Workers ID Card.
  • Per US Coast Guard regulations, you must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
