GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Systems Project Manager at American Furniture Rental is crucial in leading, planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects, particularly focusing on an upcoming ERP system change. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP functionalities, testing, and modification designs. The Systems Project Manager will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, while also meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive definition, documentation, and alignment of all business requirements with strategic objectives.
  • Employ best practices in project management and business analysis to ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication, management of expectations, and fulfillment of project requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to gather insights, feedback, and consensus on project direction and outcomes.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to drive operational effectiveness and agility.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and milestones.
  • Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to the project plan and proactive management of any deviations.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle, developing and executing effective mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Maintain a risk register and ensure transparent communication of risks and issues to stakeholders.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards for project deliverables, conducting regular quality reviews and assessments.
  • Ensure project outputs meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and requirements.
  • Manage and oversee change requests, ensuring they are assessed, documented, and implemented with minimal disruption.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the change process.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to team members, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring financial performance within approved limits.
  • Provide regular financial reports and insights to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, methodologies, and best practices in project management and business analysis.
  • Commit to continuous learning and application of new skills and knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in DevOps principles, demonstrating an ability to streamline project workflows, enhance efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and their implementation in a business environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Having proficiency in understanding coding languages offers a significant advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in managing ERP, CRM, and data warehousing systems.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25-50%.
  • Hybrid role (50% of time in the office).

EDUCATION:

  • Degree: CIS Degree or related experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10 years of experience as an administrator in an operational environment or similar industry.
