Department OverviewThe Product Development & Operations Group at IPVideo design and manufactures IoT based products for the safety and security industry. The team has developed the HALO and SentryERS products and continues to develop many more to add to the product portfolio. Within the Product Development team, the AI&ML team applies artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to expand our product performance and provide added value to our customers.Job Description

The AI/ML Engineer is responsible for developing, integrating, and deploying artificial intelligence algorithms for Cloud and embedded electronics. The Engineer will assist in generating project requirements and will develop code, determine appropriate software methods, gather data for system training and conduct testing to prove compliance with project requirements. The role provides input in the technology direction for our Cloud and IoT products to best leverage AI & ML techniques to a deliver a competitive edge to our products.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations:

  • Develops, integrates, and implements algorithms to improve our platforms to respond to complex situations.
  • Implements algorithms into software to train systems to recognize patterns and perform specific functions.
  • Work with engineering teams to gather data needed to train AI models.
  • Conduct tests on AI/ML models/engines to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in company technology discussions to identify early position of designs to best leverage AI/ML techniques.
  • Work with the project management team to manage AI/ML related projects providing effort estimates and delivery schedules.
  • Routinely provide updates to management and stakeholders on project status.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience working within AI and machine learning
  • Proven track record of applying AI and ML techniques using large data feeds to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge of classical AI and ML techniques.
  • Experience in machine learning frameworks and deep learning toolsets.
  • Experience designing and implementing ML techniques aimed at solving specific problems.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, C++, Java, MatLab etc.)
  • Experience working with analyzing large scale data from a variety of sources and applying statistical methods as needed.
  • Experience in applying AI and ML techniques to embedded systems.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working in video AI, camera vision, and pattern recognition would be a plus

The base salary for this position in New York is $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience.
