Description

The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting a full-time Hospitalist to lead our growing Hospitalist Service. The Department's academic practice has a well-established history of excellence, and Stony Brook University Hospital is strongly committed to the hospitalist model. Hospitalist responsibilities include inpatient obstetrics & gynecology coverage, participation in quality initiatives, and education of medical students and residents. The Director position will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust hospitalist program with a focus on developing practice guidelines, leading qualitative initiatives, and recruiting and developing our existing hospitalist service. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: MD (or foreign equivalent). NYS License or Eligible for NYS License. Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience and a track record of success in a leadership role.

Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
