Summary of Position
Greets the patient, serves their meal trays and ensures that everything that the patient request is on the tray,
Collects trays and ensures patient was satisfied with meals,
Monitors and records daily pantry refrigerator temperatures on assigned units,
Cleans refrigerators as needed and discards all outdated or unlabeled products,
Assists in delivering late trays,
Assists in transporting dirty trays to dish room,
Performs other duties as assigned,
Criteria Based Performance Standards
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times,
Adheres to the policy of tray delivery- ensuring two patient identifiers are used when delivering trays,
Adheres to dress code and Hand Hygiene
Acquires knowledge of special diets,
Prepares salad, desserts, sandwiches, nourishments, tray up juices and/or any other duties as assigned,
Follows infection control procedures, including hand hygiene,
Attends department meetings and completes or attends all educational programs and requirements,
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent,
Minimum Entry Level acceptable,
Preferred 1-2 years in health care related facility in comparable position
Some weekends and Holidays required,
