Job Description

Based in the New York office and reporting into the Collateral Operations Senior Manager, the candidate will be responsible for a broad range of responsibilities across multiple services.

Specific tasks include working with members and clients on various inquiries, Margin Call Management, Trade Support and Reconciliations, Incident Management, Service Reviews and MIS Production, Change and Procedural Management, support Risk Operations, and various projects!

Key to success in the role requires a very focused, organized individual who can manage multiple requests and projects at the same time. Strong analytical and communication skills with a

a curiosity to explore / challenge the status quo while remaining a strong advocate of the positive culture. Strong working understanding of Collateral Operations & Cash Management, Member Margin, SWIFT, and Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, PowerPoint, and Word].

Key Responsibilities

  • To action the timely collection of margin payments and receipts, raising late payments and issues with cash-flow as per procedures

  • Oversight and monitoring of intra-day cash flow

  • Investigation of delayed calls or cash breaks

  • Cover distribution process to compare liabilities to assets lodged with the clearing house

  • Monitor and manage the instruction and settlement of securities

  • Take a lead on settlement issues and resolve accordingly

  • Ensure funding requirements are met and concentration Limits are not breached

  • Ensure awareness of the department's business continuity policy, processes, and guidelines

  • Work with other departments/divisions to resolve inconsistencies and shared member issues

  • Demonstrate awareness of Service Level Agreements/Rules/Regulations and Procedures

  • To ensure that incidents are reported accurately and in a timely fashion, having regard for the requirements of readers of the reports, particularly in relation to understanding and relevance

  • Ensure that intraday and end of day prices are verified and authorized for markets covered by the US office

  • Provide product and workflow assistance to members and respond to client queries

  • Promote best practices and compliance based on the rules and regulations as prescribed by various regulators and internal governance

  • Ensure that deliverables are met, and issues reported to line Manager

  • Support sales team when subject matter expertise is required

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Sound understanding of Collateral Operations and Cash and Liquidity Management

  • Manage multiple requests efficiently and effectively

  • Work in a fast-paced global team

  • Excellent written, oral, and analytical skills [prior BA experience preferred]

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills [VBA preferred]

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $93,800 - $174,400.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
