Key Accountabilities

*Play a pivotal role in the process to identify, evaluate and negotiate potential investments and acquisitions for the Fanatics parent as well as its operating companies including Fanatics Commerce, Collectibles, and Betting & Gaming

*Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and proactively present key findings

*Prioritize and evaluate potential opportunities using a comprehensive, efficient, and fact-based process, including a rigorous diligence process that will promote quality acquisition and investment ideas to the management team

*Partner with business leaders before, during and after the M&A process, to ensure the deals make strategic sense, the return on investment (ROI) is thoroughly tested and analyzed, the target company fits with the forward-looking business plan, and the acquisition is integrated smoothly and fully optimized

*Lead execution of key aspects of deal process from initial investment thesis, investment case, financial valuation, due diligence, negotiation, completion and integration

*Day-to-day team lead for financial model/valuation and due diligence, including liaising with business units and corporate functions

*Coordinate internal alignment and issue resolution on transactions

*Collaborate with subject matter experts (Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Legal, Tax) internally and externally in preparation for closing

*Ensure successful close and integration; regularly drive Lessons Learned reviews

*Mentor junior members of the M&A team

Requirements

*Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantitative or related field; MBA Preferred

*7-10+ years of Investment Banking and/or Private Equity experience with a demonstrated track record of end-to-end deal execution

*Desire to work in a small-team start-up environment with frequent exposure to senior leadership

*Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis

*Financial modeling and analytical skills: must be experienced in deal concepts such as purchase price ratio, discounted cash flow, valuation, understanding enterprise value vs. equity, complicated debt structures, merger analysis, carve-out math, etc.

*Expertise in building complex operating models using Excel and creating executive decks to drive and present business insights on potential M&A projects

*Strong leadership, communication, relationship building, influencing and organizational skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

*Proactive self-starter with an ownership mindset; experience working with fast-paced, complex, entrepreneurial organizations
The salary range for this position is $188,000 to $253,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
