Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, adjusting, cleaning, and monitoring their assigned machine, whether it be Alloyd, HFFS, VFFS, or VW. To be a successful packaging machine operator, one needs to have technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery, attention to detail for quality control, and a strong focus on safety.

This position is being offered on the following shifts:
1st Shift -
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
  • Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols to protect workers and prevent accidents.
  • Quickly identify and address operational issues that may arise during packaging processes to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operates forklifts to load/unload materials.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience operating manufacturing machinery
  • Mechanical knowledge/aptitude required
  • Team oriented
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an 8-hour work shift
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and communication
  • Understanding of what the machine is for, how it works, and best practices
  • Able to wear required safety gear when necessary to operate machinery
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must always be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
