We're seeking a future team member for the role of VICE PRESIDENT to join our CORPORATE STRATEGY team. This role is located in NEW YORK, NY - HYBRID.

Bank-wide strategy:

  • Helps develop, shape & articulate BNY's global strategy across the Bank and business lines
  • Partners with Executive Team to enable organic growth and drive long-term strategic priorities
  • Supports a talent incubator for the Bank by providing exceptional developmental opportunities for high-potential people from within each business and function
  • Works with individual business executives and functional leaders to help shape their priorities and connect into Bank-wide strategic narratives and priorities

The ideal candidate would ideally have:

  • 7-10 years of related experience; experience in management consulting and/or banking preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • An entrepreneurial and self-directed mindset-able to take a conceptual business challenge from an initial set of facts and hypotheses to a business plan and solution
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proactive mindset interested in shaping the future of financial services through one of its major stakeholders
  • Experience in working closely with business executives as a trusted advisor and in leading and working on projects with unrelenting focus
  • A thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple, practical terms for a wide range of audiences
  • A global mindset and experience working across a diverse set of environments
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $79,000 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
