Operations Manager, Academy

The Operations Manager, is a hands-on position responsible for setting and executing the Academy strategy, overseeing its implementation, and assessing its outcomes. With responsibility for the Academy P&L, supports Region/Divisions technical needs and development of suitable initiatives that build customer loyalty. Acts as point of contact with global counterparts to ensure open communications, share lessons learned, and communicate changes that will affect operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Set, implement, oversee, and assess YOY strategy for expected business growth, in alignment with the division, regional and global strategies and targets.

Act as administrative/technical lead for the operation of the business.

Lead the Academy team to success.

Support business development activities.

Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends, developments, and best practices across Americas region.

Identify gaps and facilitate development of new training content in consultation with Business Unit Managers.

Consult with internal and external SME's (subject matter experts) to optimize training material.

Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically and report on them.

Manage training budget.

Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs to meet customer's needs as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Demonstrated leadership experience helping remote and multicultural teams to achieve targets.

Demonstrated P&L responsibility and business budgeting.

Strategic vision with proven success on execution.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Self-starter with a positive outlook and motivated attitude.

Knowledge of the commercial training business in the TIC industry or an industrial setting.

Knowledge of training accreditation requirements.

Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.

Familiarity with traditional and modern training delivery methods (e-learning, workshops, simulations, in classroom training, etc.).

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree

Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) or similar certifications are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

Three or more years with proven work experience as a customer-facing Training Manager with budgeting and P&L responsibility.

Five or more years coordinating training services and leading multicultural teams.

Five or more years of work experience related to customer-facing technical training for industrial applications (manufacturing. chemical, oil and gas, medical, food, etc.).
