Job Overview:TheR&P Training Program Manager, New Sites & Staff supports the overall management and implementation of the Reception & Placement (R&P) Program with an emphasis on training and technical assistance for new IRC sites and new IRC staff. TheR&P Training Program Managerworks closely with the Headquarters' (HQ) R&P team, HQ Resettlement team, and Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) US local offices where R&P is implemented. TheR&P Training Program Manager reports to the R&P Training Program Officer within the RAI Resettlement Department. This a limited term that position will end on September 30, 2025. This position has the potential for extension, depending on donor funding.


Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide targeted, intensive, and specialized training for new IRC offices to ensure supportive IRC growth and high-quality services at new offices.
  • Support content planning and logistics for IRC's national conference and smaller training series including the Cultural Orientation (CO) virtual workshop and R&P supervisor exchange program.
  • Support compliance with donor requirements including but not limited to tracking training activities, contributing to donor reports in a timely manner, and monitoring of local programs.
  • Lead initial training and supplemental onboarding opportunities for new R&P staff including the new staff cohort training series, post-monitoring trainings, and ad hoc trainings requested from R&P supervisors.
  • Support the Program Officer for R&P Training with delivery of the IRC's R&P annual training plan including webinars, cohort training series, self-paced e-learning, online courses.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of three years' experience in R&P service provision strongly preferred.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and experience delivering remote and/or in-person training preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.

Working Environment:

  • Fully Remote
  • Domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 35%.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.


Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
