Job Description
What this job involves - Join JLL for a great opportunity to support a world class life sciences client. The Sr. Manager, Planning & Scheduling is a new investment role and will be responsible for the management of a large team of site-based planners and schedules across a network of facilities located throughout United States and Puerto Rico. All work performed is in accordance with the standards and procedures of our client and JLL in the execution of maintenance and operations. The Sr. Manager, Planning & Scheduling will be a core team member of the JLL Central Engineering Account Team.

What is your day to day?

Planning
Lead a talent group of planning and scheduling professionals in support of the execution maintenance & operations.
Provide strategic leadership for the set-up of effective and efficient maintenance and operations work for all facility systems, equipment, and life safety systems.
Oversee your team's tactical execution of planning and scheduling at our facilities.
Act as the account SME for planning and scheduling to ensure a baseline level of web-based training, instructor lead training and hands-on field training for all P&S staff.
Create a robust set of planner effectiveness performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and performance for planning and scheduling with assistance of with JLL Sr. Reliability Engineering Analyst.
Collaborate with Sr. Reliability Engineering Analyst on the design, development, training, and use of best-in-class planning and scheduling tools necessary to supplement CMMS capabilities.
Track and review Carryover work to determine behaviors leading to work not getting executed.
Guide and mentor, your team on partnering with JLL Reliability Engineering Central Team and apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) standard practices and make recommendations to increase efficiencies and reduce operating costs (estimated hours, detailed work instructions, BOMs, parts reservations, kitting, standardized Job Plans for common work)
Guide and mentor, your team, to partner with CMMS Administrators to ensure PM and Equipment updates and deactivations are being processed and executed in a timely fashion, including Asset Disposition w/Finance.
Evaluate your team's historical planned work and make recommendations for improvements to process, i.e., applying the right first-time approach to eliminate rework.
Develop process improvement for planners and schedulers to maximize support from a network of fully functional MRO Storerooms.
Establish a standard set of expected job plan startup tasks on every Work Order to address pre-work execution components such as safety, environmental, tools, equipment, and hazardous energy control, etc.
Develop and standardize across the portfolio the critical roles and responsibilities of "Gatekeeping & Work Order Prioritization" of all manually generated work requests.
Create a master library of common job plans for high frequency, corrective maintenance, and drive use of them.
Develop robust business process and associated performance metrics to promote utilization of CMMS based "Feedback To Planner" (FTP) capability to drive continuous improvement of our Work Order Execution feedback provided by our mechanics, technicians, and operators.

Scheduling
Standardize and deliver the production of formalized and published schedules to be used in facilitating client discussions and prioritization of work.
Build a network of weekly scheduling meetings at the sites, where schedules are prepared prior to meeting and priorities are balanced and aligned with clients, creating a go to meeting each week at the site.
Develop a standardized practice of Labor availability, that enables tracking both wrench time and non-wrench time (Sick, PTO, Holiday, and Training, etc.) to drive Labor accountability, reduce re-work and carry over.
Set strategy around both break-in and emergency break-in work by tracking Labor effectiveness and adherence to schedule by establishing a standardized and robust schedule freeze process to enable a reduction on the interruption and impact on planned and scheduled work.

Client/Service/Satisfaction
Develop and maintain positive client relationship leveraging conflict resolution and solution analysis.
As needed, prepare formal presentations for internal leadership and client performance review meetings.
Support scope and process changes from the client as assigned.
Improve safety performance by highlighting our level of awareness and changing our behaviors of your team.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required
Technical diploma from a credited trade school or BS degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Business.
In lieu of technical degree and/or college degree, candidates with 7+ years of relevant planning and scheduling work experience will also be considered.
At least 2 years of experience managing staff.
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance, utilities, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.).
Experience with MS Office suite
Experience with CMMS applications is required, experience with Maximo is plus.
Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills.
Position can be remote with expectation for travel to support the business, travel may include but is not limited to planning and scheduling assessments, training, and education of staff and/or client requests.
25% of time local and national to support the client business

Preferred
Experience with GxP regulations in a regulated industry, utilizing change control is a plus..
