Nice-Pak Products, Inc. (NP) is the global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning, and disinfection products.

We are currently looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst in our Orangeburg, NY, location.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to provide support and analysis in financial planning, budgeting, month end & analysis for the Nice-Pak organization.

This function works closely with Accounting, Category Management, Procurement & Plant Operations under the guidance of the Nice- Pak Finance Director. The role also includes ownership of month-end processes, cost centers, process improvements & other financial analytics.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is an effective communicator, partners well cross-functionally, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and can multi-task.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

The Senior Financial Analyst is part of the North America organization and reports to the FP&A Director of Finance in managing the planning, analysis, and reporting of specific segments of the Consumer Division.

Month Close

  • Reconcile Internal reporting P&Ls to Accounting P&Ls to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete a detailed analysis of freight and logistics and help to automate the current process.
  • Assist the Director of Finance with cost center reviews.
  • Assist the Director of Finance with issuing monthly variable contribution reports. System Maintenance & Enhancements.
  • Partner with the business and our TM1 expert to optimize how we use TM1 for financial reporting & analysis, automate calculations & reports, and streamline source data.

Budgets/Forecasts/R&O tracking

  • Work with the Director of Finance, Sales & Marketing organizations, and Procurement to build annual budgets and rolling & quarterly forecasts.
  • Track risks and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  • Assistance in various aspects of the budget process, including, but not limited to, reviewing year-over-year cost and margins, cost center spending, etc.
  • Analyze and check data to ensure accuracy of the budget and timeliness of budget completion.

P&L's and Cost Analysis

  • Perform cost analysis on new and existing businesses by working closely with category management, operations, and procurement.
  • Conduct post-mortem analyses of newly launched items to ensure financial alignment with the originally approved new business opportunity.

Other

  • Ad hoc trips to the manufacturing facilities to not only understand the production process but also to build partnerships with main contacts there.
  • Ad hoc analysis and business support as needed.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

  • Accurate & timely P&L and cost analysis.
  • Improvement of process and ways of working.
  • Ongoing system enhancement & automation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting & Sales pricing is a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Accounting/Finance, preferably in a consumer goods or other manufacturing business.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. TM1 knowledge is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Corporate: Some travel to manufacturing facilities is required.

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000-$110,000
