We are seeking someone to lead process improvement initiatives at our Mt. Olive, NJ manufacturing facility! You will spearhead implementation of corrective actions from quality non-conformance investigation in the production space to ensure our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Additionally, you will support supervision of the operators in the production support tasks working with the Production Shift Supervisors. Collaborate with teams and reporting to the Production Support Manager, you'll lead improvements and maintain our customer satisfaction.

Job Title: FragranceProduction Support Engineer

Location: Mt. Olive, NJ

Reporting to: Production Support Manager

You will:

Production Management Support:

  • Work with the Production Support Manager to control manufacturing of fragrance products, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets and
  • Ensure compliance with standards.
  • Supervise union staff in production support processes such as repack/ stock and resupply areas and performing the following: scheduling, hiring, disciplinary actions, performance output, Indicator affected by safety/quality/ service/cost.

Sample Lab Operation:

  • Analyze sample lab capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and operator requirements.
  • Monitor sample lab performance and may make recommendations concerning union staff selection, training, discipline, and remuneration.

Process Improvement:

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, andquality of work in end-to-end production processes (ex. Warehouse, Compounding, alcohol production, Repack, stock, and resupply).
  • Deliver training, update ISO documentation, perform root cause analysis on non-conformances, and guide process improvements to meet global quality standards from ManEx.
  • Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely, perform basic maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and make independent decisions in technical assignments.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 0-1 years of progressive experience in people management.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending the English language.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other necessary department systems.
  • Understanding of GMP, AIB, and HAACP criteria.
