Summary:

The Learning and Development Center is one of several programs that comprise the rapidly expanding Clinical Program of Child Mind Institute. The Center offers thorough and thoughtful neuropsychological and academic evaluations as well as ongoing remediation and interventions, school consultation and user-friendly reports. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of our multidisciplinary group practice.

The Neuropsychologist is responsible for providing comprehensive neuropsychological and academic evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of concerns. Typical presentations include individuals with language or learning disorders, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and other conditions that interfere with school functioning including intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and nonverbal learning weaknesses. Our group provides early childhood evaluations that partner a speech and language evaluation with a cognitive/developmental assessment for children ages 1-5. We also see many school age and high school students in public, independent and specialized school settings. We also often see young adults who are transitioning to college or vocational settings.

Remediation services in our center include reading and writing remediation, organizational skills work, and more generalized cognitive remediation. Additionally, our group often provides public workshops, written content for the childmind.org website and school consultation regarding accommodations and interventions for our students.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Learning and Development Center, this is an exempt, full-time position located in our NYC headquarters.
